As the President and CEO of The Sharing Center, Nina Yon is a dedicated leader who believes that success is best achieved through collaboration, community, and service.
Under Nina’s guidance, The Sharing Center has expanded its programs and resources, allowing the agency to double its ability to serve community members experiencing poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness. Prior to her current role, Nina spent 27 years in for-profit and non-profit leadership roles.
Nina leverages her undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management and Master of Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida to build relationships and create strategic growth. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Affairs. Nina’s passion for giving back is evident in her deep commitment to local nonprofits and leadership organizations.
Honored with numerous awards, including most recently Nina was recognized as the Outstanding Alumni of the year from UCF Masters of Nonprofit Management program; MLK Jr. Outstanding Citizenship Award from the City of Longwood, The Heart of Florida United Way’s Impact Maker Award, the Orlando Business Journal’s C-Suite Award Honoree for Nonprofit leaders in 2022, and most recently in February 2023, Nina is one of the five finalists for Orlando Sentinel’s Central Floridian of the Year.
